And IWEX, being held at the Birmingham NEC from April 1-3, will be showcasing the best innovative thinking the sector's supply chain has to offer. A pril 1 may be April Fools' day but it will also mean the start of serious busi- ness when IWEX returns for its annual three-day stint at the Birmingham NEC. With more exhibitors than ever before and plenty on the agenda for discus- sion over the three days, IWEX will be the platform on which to see the latest innovative think- ing onsite in one arena. A major gripe in the water industry's supply chain is that is difficult for suppliers to get their technologies and products in front of water and sewerage companies. In a Keynote session chaired by Anglian Water head of innovation on April 2 four companies have the chance to pitch their game-changing tech- nologies. Scott Vickers sales manager Raymond Hoon will be asking if the Singapore system for treating construction site silty waste run-off could work- ing in the UK. Also, Thames Water will also be pitching as Nick Mills, pro- ject manager, sludge & energy innovation, unlocks the full potential of sewage sludge through advanced energy recovery. The next day (April 3) and changing hats, Kaye will be out- lining Anglian Water's perspec- tive on Delivering Innovation through Alliances and Partner- ships in AMP. This Keynote ses- sion also provides one of the first opportunities for the water industry to hear about Thames Water's innovative and new alli- ance, eight2O.
